Happy Birthday Mom!

I vow to post a birthday blog for all of my friends and family this year; if anything I will at least try!  The first birthday of the year is my mom's!  My mom shares her special day with the Feast of the Magi, which is the day that we celebrate the three wise men bringing their gifts to the baby Jesus.

Today is also the day that my daughter decided to wear her tutu to school.  Never mind the fact that just last night she was brandishing a ruler as if it were a sword and huzzah-ing all over the house.  Once she saw her tutu this morning, she HAD to wear it.  In fact, we wore it to Gramma's house to celebrate her birthday.

We enjoyed yummy fried chicken, mashed potatoes, french fries, peas, and oreo cake for dessert.  Mmmm...  Afterward, we watched Star Trek and got home very very late, but my mom had a great birthday!
