This was recently heard:
"Mommy!"
"Mmm hmm?"
"Watch Boo! I watch Boo!"
"You want to watch Blue's Clues?"
"Oh." (Billa says 'oh' instead of 'yes'–very confusing, I know)
"[sigh] Okaaaaay. I guess so. Gimme a minute, ok?" I type out a Facebook response. Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted.
"Mommy! Boo!"
"Uh huh..." I say distractedly.
"MOMMY! BOO!"
"What? Oh, right. [eye roll] More Blue's Clues. Yay."
Sometimes I wish we hadn't cut the cable...

I love love love the comment you left about 3 names in life. I've always told my kids the same thing more or less and this is a neat way to phrase it! I might print that out and frame it.

ReplyDeleteI love it! Earlier Isabel was asking me for some "stirsty", and I was giving her the "uh-uh, just a minute, ok", when she finally said "Mommy, get me a drink! I've been ASKING and WAITING!!"
